After my swearing-in ceremony, we drove to Sweet Basil Thai Restaurant, another great find thanks to my mom’s diligent and thorough research ahead of time. After pouring over the many delicious sounding menu items, we settled on three.
Panang curry with shrimp, mushrooms, red pepper, and thai basil
Kee mao (drunken noodles) with shrimp, scallops, mussels, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, and eggAll were wonderful. The curry was sweet from the coconut milk but it had quite some heat to make things interesting. The thai basil shone through in every dish. Although the restaurant from the outside is not necessarily the most convincing, the quality of the food is superb and qualifies this restaurant as truly a hidden gem.
