I know, it’s been a while. Just based on my blog alone, you’d think 2017 never existed. Hardly so – in fact, 2017 brought a lot of big changes. New job. New apartment. My parents moved. My sister moved. My goddaughter was born. I even feel like I finally became an adult because now I buy actual napkins instead of using paper towels.
It’s not like I didn’t cook or bake in 2017 either. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’m a NYC resident anomaly in that I cook at home more than I order Seamless. Shoot, I just remembered I did in fact order sushi for lunch today…. well I’m not making that at home, so there you go.
At least I kept up with making my usual batch of Christmas cookies and snapped a photo before I took a bite out of each one (that’s normal right? I mean I just want a little taste).
In case you were wondering, there’s a chocolate sable cookie, marzipan cookies, a maple bourbon espresso truffle, peppermint pinwheels, matcha tea cookies, and a gingerbread man.
January always makes me feel like I should give something a fresh start. Sadly, this blog has sat dormant for many months, but now I’ve dusted it off and given it a new life for 2018. I have a lot of ideas that I think might be fun to share, and hopefully some might even be instructive or inspiring.
